About me

I began my training in counselling after studying at law school on a full academic scholarship, where I obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Law. Through establishing and running legal pro bono programmes, I realised that my passion was working with people at their most emotionally vulnerable. Through my experience of chronic health and pain conditions, I also developed an interest in the psychology of relationships and the impact of strong connections on emotional resilience.
This led me to relationship counselling. I initially completed my Level 2 and Level 3 CPCAB certificates in counselling skills and studies, before systemic relationship and couple therapy training at the highly regarded Institute of Family Therapy (accredited by Association of Family Therapy). I then trained in Mentalization Based Therapy for Parents under Pressure (MBT-PP) at Tavistock Relationships. I am also a sex therapist, most recently studying the Relate Professional Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy. I am trained by OnePlusOne to deliver science-based relationship training programmes to frontline staff through government-funded reducing parental conflict programmes. I also run the Click Relationships’ Listening Room, which is a text-based relationship-focused one-to-one chatroom.
