I began my training in counselling after studying at law school on a full academic scholarship, where I obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Law.
Through establishing and running legal pro bono programmes, I realised that my passion was working with people at their most emotionally vulnerable. Through my experience of chronic health and pain conditions, I also developed an interest in the psychology of relationships and the impact of strong connections on emotional resilience.
This led me to relationship counselling. I initially completed my Level 2 and Level 3 CPCAB certificates in counselling skills and studies, before systemic relationship and couple therapy training at the highly regarded Institute of Family Therapy (accredited by Association of Family Therapy). I then trained in Mentalization Based Therapy for Parents under Pressure (MBT-PP) at Tavistock Relationships.
I am also a sex therapist, most recently studying the Relate Professional Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy. I am trained by OnePlusOne to deliver science-based relationship training programmes to frontline staff through government-funded reducing parental conflict programmes.
I also run the Click Relationships’ Listening Room, which is a text-based relationship-focused one-to-one chatroom.
I am a Relate-registered relationship counsellor. In both my private and Relate practice, I work with couples and individuals from all backgrounds who are managing a wide range of relationship problems and conflicts. Whether you are single, dating, living together, married, divorced, straight or LGBT, I can help you.
As a psychosexual therapist in my private practice and with Relate, I work with couples and individuals who are living with a range of sexual issues such as sexual phobia and anxiety, mismatched levels of desire and frequency, pelvic pain conditions, orgasmic, erectile and ejaculation problems. I have COSRT-student registration.
I have a particular interest in working with young women to empower them to know, understand, and unapologetically be their true selves, improving self esteem and confidence in life, dating and relationships. This is particularly helpful for clients suffering the grief of break-ups and separation, and/or for those wanting to break away from toxic or abusive relationship patterns or unlearn unhealthy relational beliefs and behaviours.
I am a counsellor and parenting practitioner to co-parents, whether together or separated, who wish to improve their communication and conflict with the wellbeing of their children in mind.
I deliver science-based relationship training to frontline staff, empowering practitioners to raise awareness of inter-parental conflict and the impact on children, use digital resources to recognise conflict and destructive behaviour patterns, and enable parents to develop positive communication skills and helpful conflict strategies and behaviours.
I am passionate about educating others on a wide range of relationship, sexual and mental health topics. I enjoy media work and have spoken on radio and social media platforms about relationship and emotional wellbeing. I design and deliver workshops and seminars on a variety of topics on request.
